My Route

My route takes me east to west, opposite the direction I cycled in 2013. It will also bring me to many states I’ve never bike toured in.

Starting in Simsbury, CT, on May 18, after the Louisville City FC May 17 match versus Hartford Athletic means a lot to me. I grew up two towns east of Hartford in Manchester, a place my father grew up as well. The start will begin at my cousin’s home, leaving Simsbury and pedaling west towards Poughkeepsie, NY.

Having milestone soccer matches along the way is both exciting— and a bit overwhelming. It means, to an extent, I have to stay on schedule. This can post a challenge with terrain, how my body feels each day, the weather, how my gear is functioning. There are a lot of variables!
